Lucid Dreams Easy Vest Knitting Pattern
A hip length, easy vest knitting pattern for beginners. It is worked in the round from the top down including raglan shaping and an oversized gradient colour cowl collar. Two fingering weight yarns held together makes a worsted weight vest, tunic or slipover. Features include patterned short cap sleeve, simple textured front V and side panels. There’s an easy colour coded chart to help you through the colour gradient along with full written instructions as well.
Have fun using two different yarns! They might be closely matched for a subtle colour change or dramatic for high contrast. Try a variegated yarn matched with a solid colour that matches one of the variegated colours. This will give you an Impressionist painting effect like the sample in the photos. Additionally, the cowl neck can be opened out on a sunny day or wrapped tight around your neck against the wind. Lift the back and tuck it under your hat or open it out over the top your jacket. Pair the vest with a turtle neck, jeans and knee length boots for the weekend. Alternately, slipover a long sleeve shirt or blouse, a calf length swirly skirt and a broad brimmed hat for a feminine look. It’s really warm and will keep those kidneys snuggly on cold winter days.
