Koala Mama – Men’s or Women’s Adult Australian Vest Knitting Pattern
Step out as a proud Aussie in this loose fitting, casual adult Australian vest. The pattern bust or chest circumference covers sizes 96-166 cm. (approximately 32-60 inches). There is an option for short rows to add for women’s bust. For maximum versatility, choose between either a fingering weight or DK weight yarn version depending on the season. Also, the chart is easy to follow and there are full written chart instructions as well.
The front and back are knitted flat, back and forth separately, which makes working the koala parent and baby picture on the front nice and easy. Side seams and shoulders are sewn together. Then, bindings for armholes and the neck are added last. The “Koala Mama” adult Australian vest is ideal if you are Advanced Beginner level.
