Looking for a Woven Look Cowl?
Is it weaving or is it an illusion? This is a two-tone cowl knitted in the round using moss stitch and woven floats technique which is similar to stranded colour work. Stitches in the woven knit cowl are knit and purl. Basic chart reading required. Full written chart instructions are included. Comes in 2 lengths with instructions on adjusting the height and width.
You’ll find this is a lovely, quick project featuring a unique woven effect that is bound to turn heads. You don’t need a lot of yarn, it’s a wonderful stash buster. Choose two high contrast colours in DK weight. MC makes the longer floats used to create bold lines (teal in the sample). CC makes the grid which can create a design all by itself (cream tweed in the sample). Add some fun with one hand dyed skein matched to a plain, solid colour. Experiment with tweed yarns, splashed hand dyes or slow graduated colour fades.
