One Tree Hill Cowl Knitting Pattern
A calm and comforting cowl design of pine trees. This two-tone cowl is knitted in the round using moss stitch and woven floats technique which is similar to stranded colour work. Basic chart reading required. Full written chart instructions and technique instructions are included.
Sizes available are Small (60cm or 23.5 inches round), Regular (pictured 90cm or 35.5 inches round) or a Large (120cm or 47.25 inches round) double cowl you can wrap around your head to keep your ears warm. The unique woven effect is sure to turn heads. In the foreground is a grove of pine trees reaching for the sky. In the background, a gentle slope leads up the hill to a sole tree leaning out over a jagged cliff edge, as if to challenge the winds. Choose two contrasting colours. Add some fun with a gentle variegated or splashed hand dyed skein matched to a plain, solid colour. Experiment with tweed yarns for added texture.
